To build foundation for excellence and spur development of the Institution as a premier institution by igniting and nurturing enthusiasm, interests and passion, in the study of physics, in professional courses, as a part of curriculum the department of physics was started in the year 2011.The department budded with 6 students and 1 staff. The department has seen enormous growth through the direction of our reputable Correspondent, dedicated Principal and committed staffs.
The department of physics at St. Jerome’s college provides the students with a broad understanding of physical principles of the universe, to help them develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills, to empower them, to think creatively and provide training for students planning their careers in Physics.
The department has well qualified faculty members with versatile experience in various disciplines of physics. Every year seminars and competitions are conducted by the department to enhance the knowledge and leadership qualities of the students.
